"Danielle Lavis is amazing at her craft. She isn't just a photographer, she's the consummate professional, a mentor, a friend, a mother. She literally takes on all of these roles when working with her clients. We had the pleasure of working with Danielle for our family pictures several times over the past 10 years and most recently my daughter (a senior in high school) was chosen into her Senior model program. Although she knows us well from our past photo shoots, she didn't assume anything regarding my daughters senior pictures. She met with us in her studio over the summer to discuss what my daughter likes and doesn't like, locations, style and overall what SHE AND I are looking to accomplish with her senior photo shoot. To say that she personalized it to her is an understatement. My daughter is beautiful both inside an out (yes, I know every mother says this) but my daughter doesn't see what I, and everyone else does. Danielle took the time to tell her how to pose, how to smile, how to look and feel confident and how to have fun. She was patient when my daughter kept giggling and saying she could not smile a certain way, or "pose" a certain way. I thought it was going to be a long day of her never getting it...but by the middle of the session...she got it and loved it. I was worried that being on location would be a distraction to them. She had me involved the entire time where my daughter welcomed my presence. I appreciated the time I could have being a part of this amazing experience. She kept showing us the pictures on the camera which gave my daughter the confidence that she could look and pose like a model. When you hire Danielle you aren't just hiring a photographer, you are hiring a person who brings out the best in you.
